Das American Archive of Public Broadcasting ist seit Kurzem online. Suchbar sind 2.5 Millionen historische Aufnahmen von über 120 amerikanischen Organisationen (via Library of Congress auf Twitter):

«In August 2013, the Library and WGBH received a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to engage in the first phase of a long-term project to preserve public media. During this first phase, scheduled to end in March 2016, the Library and WGBH are overseeing the digitization of approximately 40,000 hours of programs selected by more than 100 public broadcasting stations throughout the nation. Dating from the 1950s to the 21st century and emanating from all regions of the nation, these programs will be available to scholars, researchers, educators, students, and the general public at the Library’s audiovisual research centers and at WGBH.

During the initial phase, the American Archive will launch a website to give the public online access to thousands of hours of programming – as much material as legally possible to include. In addition, the website will provide data records for approximately 2.5 million items inventoried by public broadcasting stations for this project.»
