The Vatican Library is part of mankind’s memory, and we share the responsibility of giving back that memory to the world. Our work preserves some of our most valuable cultural treasures for our future. At the same time, their content becomes accessible to everyone, as digital versions can be shared online without damaging the originals. Manuscripts include 80,000 works from all continents, spanning the last thousand years. To achieve this, NTT DATA created new technologies and innovation in the field of image processing, which can now be used to digitise similar catalogues and libraries.”
